2008 Family Reunion
|
Dear Thomas Woodson Family Association members Hello. My name is John Stephens. As the Membership Chairperson for the Thomas Woodson Family Association, it is my responsibility to maintain a record of Association members as well as to track the payment of membership dues. Ours is a family heritage that is rich in talent and diversity. Developing and sustaining a communication link between all the different families that make up the association helps to ensure that this heritage is strengthened for future generations. The newsletter is our link and our communication lifeline. It is a fundamental vehicle through which we get to know each other and help each other grow. The support of all Association members is critical to our success in accomplishing this ensuring that our communication link thrives. When you pay your membership dues, you support items like printing of the newsletter, which is the primary means of communication for the family members. These dues also contribute toward supporting family reunions. Additionally, dues can be used to support the research committee in their efforts to find more information out about our family. They could be used for a supporting scholarships, historical items, maintenance of landmarks and supporting ways to spark interest with the younger generation in the Woodson Family Heritage. Our excellence in each of these areas is directly related to the amount of membership dues that we collect. Currently, the amount of dues received is disproportionate to the number of members on the membership roll. If you are uncertain about your membership or the status of your annual dues payments, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached by phone at 763/503-6832 or via email at johnkstephens36@msn.com Warmest regards, John K. Stephens
