Reunion History1978 Pittsburgh, Pa This was the first reunion of the global Woodson family. Members from the Lewis, George, Francis, James, and William Line attended. 1980 Austin, TX 1982 Washington, DC 1984 Columbus, OH The Thomas Woodson Family Association was formally established at this Reunion. Edward Forrest Love (Francis 5) was the first Association President. 1986 Minneapolis, MN 1988 Austin, TX 1990 Pittsburgh, PA Members of the Delilah Line were identified and attended this reunion for the first time. At this reunion a resolution was passed establishing a schedule of rotating the reunions among the Thomas C Woodson Family Association Regions as outlined in the Constitution and By-Laws. The West Coast Region volunteered to be the first in the rotation chain. The schedule was as follows:
1992 Richmond, VA 1994 Columbus, OH Members of the Jemima line were identified and attended this reunion for the first time. 1996 Minneapolis, MN 1998 West Coast - Due to the lack of a concentrated Woodson population center in the region, the West Coast notified the Executive Board that it could not hold a reunion in 1998 as scheduled. Though several alternatives were discussed, no reunion was held in 1998. 2000 Pittsburgh, PA 2002 Washington, DC In consideration of the security situation following the 911 incident, Washington notified the Executive Board that it could not hold a reunion in 2002 as scheduled. In order to conduct elections and other essential Association business, all members were invited to a combined General Membership and Regional Representatives business meeting in Pittsburgh in September 2002. 2004 Columbus, OH
